Ok, that video made no sense. It was just your prototypical rabbi hosting, and then this guy with no life and his gefilte fish (which should have eaten already) stood against a background sharing their ways of celebrating pointless holidays. First of all, Arbor Day (April 27) is my birthday, and trust me, for my birthday, I DO NOT look outside and stare at trees and then have a "feast". Second, no one should even celebrate tap-dance day (which by the way is my mom's birthday) except hard-core tap dancers, and no one should have a feast. Finally, if you celebrate national sandwich and you're a gefilte fish, do you really need to get excited? And sorry to crush your dreams Jono,I don't think you can patent a sandwich. Reply

Arbor Day Hi, I just saw the opening of this clip at the request of my children. In general I find the ultra-dry, even sarcastic humor out of taste - particularly for youth. They asked to watch and I thought, "Let's try it again." And up pops the character who dismisses Arbor Day with characteristic nonchalance. Aren't Jews unique in their praise of trees?! Boring?! Come on! On summer hikes, I take my children on hikes through forests often with one intention - to teach them about trees. It has affected their awareness of trees in the city. Isn't that what you'd want from a kid? I consider it part of parenting to make children aware of the wonder of the world. I don't go on your site to have that (even) subliminally undone. Why not drop the suave "edge" you seem to strive for, the sarcasm and dismissive attitude in exchange for some genuine wonder and excitement. My children are, thank G-d, still naive and enthusiastic. I'd like to keep it that way. Reply
